Stirring the pot, raising hell and rearing children in the Bay Area

International @La Gringa Day

Posted on Sep 14, 2009 in Family and Friends, Holidays, La Gringa | 0 comments

My favorite day of the year is Mother’s Day since it celebrates the single greatest things in my life: being a mother and being a daughter.

There are days for everything beyond just Mother’s and Father’s Day. There’s Winnie the Pooh Day (January 18) and Backwards Day (January 31).  There are ones I think are worth celebrating, of course, like National Clean Up Your Room Day (May 10) (must remember that one) and Homemade Cookie Day (October 1). National Tortilla Chip falls on my birthday and International Polar Bear Day falls on @La Gringa’s birthday.

My beautiful special spouse is a mother, a giver, a spouse. She’s the neighborhood IT Department, the family’s MacGuyver and my personal compass.  This year, we’re going to celebrate the first-annual La Gringa Day on October 10. Want to join us?
